The good thing is that the watch was too big for your wrist anyhow!

What are your final thoughts on the Fujifilm?
andyon June 4, 201110:34 AM:
Everything is saturated.
Charleson June 4, 20111:56 PM:
Makes me miss Kodachrome and my old Olympus OM-1. I still can’t get the consistency in composition and color without a lot of backend photoshop work using a digital camera that I did with a film SLR.

working out. Keep the faith Michael.

Michael,
Any chance you could give us some [slightly] detailed thoughts on the Fuji after having it for a little while? I know this isn’t necessarily a photo blog, but I’m seriously considering purchasing one when they make their way back into stock.
It seems every review out there is either focused on the technical aspects of the camera, or from a professional photographer who uses it as an alternative camera.
Thanks!
Ted

Nice shots. Is the vignetting natural in the photos on top?

Love that IWC!
Duncanon June 4, 20116:45 PM:
Looks like you had a really good time!
The colors of the images look pretty saturated which I happen to like a lot.
The image TO TELESCOPE I find ironic since Los Angeles has probably the worst light pollution anywhere in the country (apart from air pollution), attributable to suburban sprawl and the unfortunate desire to illuminate everything including the sky itself, therefore rendering telescopes as almost useless.
I’m assuming that sign was leading to Palomar.

Hey, love the photography on this post! Great retro feel, which always goes hand in hand with LA in my mind. My husband is from Santa Monica (i’m from the UK) and every time we visit i’m always ooogling at all the great mid century architecture and signage.

As an LA native, I love when visitors share their perspective on the city. It looks like you found one of the most important parts of the city. Our mexican food…. kudos.
I love seeing a bit of your adventures… keep them coming.
Love the BP- IWC Boutique? Also loving the GMT!
