Wants & Desires | Utility Canvas Bag

It is well know that I am a sucker for canvas bags, especially ones that are made here in the United States. Enter upstate New York’s Utility Canvas, who designed and produced the beauty pictured below. The bad news is, the company doesn’t offer this model anymore. Luckily the new men’s e-shop C’H’C’M (which stands for Clinton Hill Classic Menswear) still has a few for sale at $98. The shop is a new venture from English-born Brooklyn resident Sweetu Patel, who has a keen eye for quality and craftsmanship. C’H’C’M’ also sells some of my favorite brands like Mackintosh and S.N.S. Herning. During our correspondence, Mr. Patel informed me that he has some great new brands coming for next season, so make sure to check back. Shop C’H’M’C’

Great feature. I have one of these bags lying around somewhere. They are great, and Hal and Jillian are the nicest people. Pay them a visit in Gardiner, New York if you have the means.

My three year old has this company’s coverlet on his twin beds. Pretty comfortable and I wondered if they made any other products which is funny that you posted this. I thought they looked like moving blankets at first but have grown on me even though they brought back bad memories of three summers spent working as a mover in highschool.

but it doesn’t have someone’s name or logo splashed all over it…

    …which therefore makes it AWESOME.

Nothing girly or mad about this tote. Its simple, utilitarian, looks strong and will wear nicely with the user.

Now THAT is a good tote….

Those are great. I’ll be at Vassar in the Hudson valley next fall. I’ll definitely keep this place in mind, and pay them a visit.
